It's Not You, It's Your Approach
Hey Beautiful!
Have you ever noticed how women can be wildly capable in every area of life… and still struggle to take care of themselves consistently?
So many women I talk to feel frustrated with themselves because they “know what to do” but still can’t seem to follow through.
And honestly?
I don’t think the problem is you.
I think it’s your approach. 💖
The “I Know What To Do” Trap
Alright, check it — you get it.
You have the information.
You know what the "experts" recommend.
But the disconnect is:
👉 How do you actually apply all of that to your messy, real life?
Because yeah… on paper it sounds great.
Meal prep.
Morning routine.
Workout 5 days a week.
Drink more water.
Get more sleep.
Meditate.
Journal.
Reduce stress.
Ok, got it, let's do it! 😂
But how are you supposed to do “all the things” when some days you barely even have time to brush your teeth?
So what happens?
You decide:
“I’ll start again next week.”
As if next week is magically going to be less busy. 🙄
And then suddenly…
a week turns into a month,
a month turns into 6 months,
and before you know it, another year has gone by, and you still feel stuck in the same place.
Girl… that’s not failure.
That’s a sign to do something differently.
And that sign is NOT saying:
👉 push harder
👉 shame yourself more
👉 force yourself into another impossible routine
It’s saying:
✨ let’s pause and look at what’s actually getting in the way
✨ let’s stop trying to force perfection
✨ let’s learn how to live through life instead of constantly starting over
Because “push until you break” isn’t wellness.
That just throws your hormones, stress levels, nervous system, and life even more out of balance.
And we’re not looking for more of that.
We’re looking to become proactive instead of reactive. 🌿
Your Brain Loves Familiar Patterns
You know how you can drive to work or the grocery store, get there, and suddenly realize:
“Wait… how did I even get here?” 😂
That’s your brain doing what it was designed to do:
keeping things familiar and efficient.
It creates patterns and programs so you don’t have to consciously think through every little thing all day long.
And while that’s super helpful when it comes to driving or brushing your teeth…
Your brain does the same thing with stress patterns, too.
The way you handle overwhelm.
Deadlines.
Conflict.
Exhaustion.
Emotional eating.
Avoidance.
People pleasing.
Shutting down.
Once your brain learns a pattern and sees it repeated enough, it starts creating an automatic response.
So the next time life feels overwhelming, your brain goes:
“Okay, last time we handled it [this way]… let’s do that again.”
And before you even realize it, you’re reacting from a familiar pattern instead of intentionally choosing something different.
That’s why so many women feel stuck even when they KNOW what to do.
It’s not laziness.
It’s not a lack of intelligence.
And it’s definitely not because you’re broken.
Your brain is simply trying to keep things familiar and safe.
Wellness Is Bigger Than Food & Exercise
It’s no secret that I’m not big on counting calories in and calories out.
In fact, letting go of that mindset is one of the things that changed everything for me.
At one point, I tracked everything.
Measured everything.
Controlled everything.
Only to look at a cupcake and feel like I gained 5 pounds. 🧁
Seriously though… what was that about?
What I’ve learned over time is that wellness is about SO much more than food and exercise.
It’s about your whole life:
✨ mind
✨ body
✨ soul
It’s not just about what you eat or how you move.
It’s about how your whole life is working together.
Your stress.
Your routines.
Your relationships.
Your thoughts.
Your nervous system.
Your environment.
Your self-talk.
Your ability to slow down and actually care for yourself consistently.
It’s about lifestyle.
It’s about living ALIGNED.
It’s about PROGRESS over perfection.
It’s about CONSCIOUSLY FUELING yourself.
It’s about LEARNING TO LIVE THROUGH LIFE, instead of constantly fighting against it.
And most importantly?
It’s NOT about restriction, punishment, or the push-and-shove approach.
Small Aligned Changes Matter
This is one thing diet culture doesn’t want you to know:
You do NOT have to overhaul your entire life overnight to create meaningful change.
In fact, that’s usually the very thing that keeps women stuck.
Real transformation happens one small aligned step at a time.
It’s about adding one thing, building confidence, and then adding the next thing when you actually have the capacity for it.
And over time?
The clutter starts getting crowded out.
Your brain slowly begins recognizing:
✨ this feels better
✨ this supports me
✨ this is becoming my new normal
Now… will your brain throw a little tantrum here and there when you try to change patterns?
Absolutely. 😂 In fact, you should expect it to throw a fit.
But that doesn’t mean you’re failing.
It means you’re growing.
Because sustainable transformation isn’t built through perfection.
It’s built through:
🌿 small changes
🌿 aligned action
🌿 consistency
🌿 self-awareness
🌿 grace
I know this to be TRUE:
Small changes create BIG results when they align with the life you actually want to live.
So let me ask you:
✨ What are you forcing right now?
✨ What’s one small shift you could make instead?
And if this resonated with you, I’d genuinely love to hear from you.
Send me an email or message and tell me:
👉 What are you forcing?
👉 And what’s one small aligned shift you want to make?
I’m cheering you on, always. 💖
Live a life full of passion, purpose, and peace, one that's aligned with who you want to become, not who you've been.
